If it is a major issue, you could cancel the bid with profuse apologies to the bidder, and then end the listing and revise. Send a note of explanation to your bidder with the new listing #.

If it is a minor issue, i believe you can update the description field. It will not appear inside the body of the description but will be just above it.

After an auction has received a bid, you cannot change any of the original terms (title, description, shipping, etc.) even if the bid(s) are canceled or retracted.

It's unclear what contacting the bidder would accomplish.  You can send him a message about the error in the listing, and you can add a section at the bottom of the Description, but it's best to do as advised in the other post: Cancel the listing and make corrections before relisting.

EDIT: I see that you have only one auction with a bid, and that auction ends in less than 3 hours so you won't be able to cancel the bid and end the auction early.  IIRC you can't even add to the Description when there's less than 12 hours left.  BUT you can still cancel bids right up until the end, so you don't end up with a disappointed winner. You could even temporarily block that bidder, so he doesn't re-bid on the erroneous auction.
