I am looking for someone to sell  a rather large collection of sports memorabilia for me.  Ideally, the person would be somewhat local to me.  I cannot seem to find a directory on the site.  Any help/suggestions would be greatly appreciated.  Thank you.

Post your location or city where you live so that any local sellers to you will know and can post a reply. I sell items on consignment for several of my friends but I live in the Los Angeles area in CA. Best of luck to you....

Ebay used to have a list of long time sellers who do this usually for 25 percent of the selling price. You would have to ship the item to them. This help article may help you out.

If you do this, be sure to spell out the terms in detail with your seller.

For instance, after an eBay sale, a buyer has 180 days to file a claim on PayPal. So ther is a possibility that your seller may have to refund the buyer anytime during the next half year.

You also need to agree on how you will handle it when a buyer claims the item is counterfeit and demands to return it for a refund. The seller pays the cost of the original shipping and the cost of the return shipping and loses the paypal fees on the original payment - and if he is smart will expect to be reimbursed for it.

Lastly you also need to agree on how you will handle it when a buyer asks to return an item and returns an empty box. Who will pay for the refund - you or the seller?

this years ago was big business for sellers (Consignment) B&M's were popping up all over saying "Sell your items with us on Ebay"... over the years that more or less disappeared as ebay implemented more and more changes and strains on sellers most sellers today won't touch the responsibility of selling others items on their account. Not to say there isn't some that will but the way ebay is today with their "seller protections" i wouldn't expect to find sellers jumping at the idea.

The great truth is there isn't one
And it only gets worse since that conclusion...

As if extended arms reached to pass his blindness onto others.

Ebay does not allow the exchange of personal contact information. There is no way you can connect with someone via the ebay site. You will have to find a way to do so by another means.

The eBay Consignment Center

Otherwise, there is a yearly sports memorabilia convention in my major city.
My father unloaded his collection at the national show which comes here every 15 years or so.
These buying booths specialize in certain eras so divide your merchandise into lots accordingly.
That made a huge difference in the final price received.

Do a search for some items you have then on the left click on closest to me.

Look over presentation and decide if you like it.

You might have to buy something small from a seller or two.

Once you buy something, you can communicate with them through contact the buyer.

And go from there.

That program officially ended last September 2013.  eBay no longer support it, but many sellers still do this sort of work for others. Good luck in finding the one that can help you.
