Complained about eBay allowing buyer false claims

As a buyer on Ebay, I get no help if I file a complaint. I have to file claim with PayPal to get my money back.

As a seller on Ebay, many times I run into a bunch of idiots who file false claims to get money back. Ebay always gives them the money back even though there is no proof of their conplaint, aka not correctly taken photos to show complaint.

I am so tired of this **bleep** and am losing a lot of money!! Ebay so stupid saying they want me to refund the buyer the money in order to get the product back and see if the items are defective or not. Issuing refund is proof the items are defective. What the hell is this **bleep**?

I've been selling on Ebay since they started on the internet. It's bad enough that they raised fees and charge taxes on items and now we have to deal with them siding with buyers?

Not sure why you can't get your money back from Ebay, it's far too easy...unless you've lost buyer protection. Did you file a lot of claims?

As to refunding buyers, you NEVER have to refund until you get the item (or something) back .

The easier you are to offend the easier you are to control.

I only file complain when I need to. Hardly ever. But selling, I state in ad no returns or refunds. Apparently Ebay dont care. Ebay refunds asap, money out of my PayPal once complaint is filed. What I get back is broken items or soiled. This is a health issue.

In the world of eBay, no returns ONLY applies to remorse returns.

If the buyer claims Not as Described you have to take the item back and refund.  You may not like it, but that's the seller agreement you accept everytime you list an item.

When the buyer cant even post clear photos of the defect and then you realize that the actually they physically took the parts off the item which do not come, there is a problem.

Photo clearly shows item and then they have to make false accusations because the legs are not the same size and then I realized that they were removed from the figurine. They do not come off the figurine unless they were pulled off and now item is damaged. One person files complaint about a stuffed animal, the head was turned. The head was movable and still they got their money back.

If it's not working out, you need to make changes, because the world isn't going to change for you.

If it is working out, albeit imperfectly, that's how life goes for the rest of us too.

While I understand and empathize with your situation, eBay doesn't care, at least not much.   And buyers are not required (by eBay) to send you pictures, sellers on the other hand are required to accept "Not as Described" returns.

You still are expected to take the item back and refund.  If the item comes back damaged and you are TRS, then you can deduct up to 50%.  And once the return/refund is concluded you REPORT THE BUYER.  If enough sellers report a buyer eBay will take action.

You should also report buyers that return damaged or items missing pieces to the USPS and IC3.gov for mail fraud.  Again, if this is a repeat scammer they will eventually get a visit from authorities.  Mail fraud is a felony.

If this doesn't work for you, you need to evaluate whether or not eBay is the right place foryou.

eBay doesn't charge sales tax; the states charge it. eBay just collects it in accordance with the law. As for fees - yup. eBay has raised them a number of times, and yet sellers (like you and me) still sell here.

Now? If you've been selling on eBay since they started, then you must  know that siding with buyers started in 2008 (12 years ago) when eBay introduced the Money Back Gaurantee for buyers.

Thank you for your reply. I have reported the buyer every single time. Ic3.gov does nothing. I have reported to them for many years problems I am having online. I have been looking on other sites to post things for sale and cant find one that is as popular as Ebay. EBay policy is not right that they take buyers side.

I have stuff for sale on other websites and nothing has been selling. Ebay is the only one that everybody goes to.
There has been a lot lately of eBay taking buyers side, not since the money back guarantee started.

If reporting buyers makes you feel better, fine.

Bur reporting is not providing protection for you or anyone else.  None.

The only protection you can come up with is your own defenses, honed by experience of what can be sold successfully in what way, and what cannot.
