Common photo search brings up smut

I just did a search for old collectible type photos, using the following keywords,  retro photos . I got  90 percent smut nudes,  saw were pretty raw.  None were art type nudes.  Pretty tasteless stuff that should not show up in  this type of (non- adult only) every day eBay search. I’m not a prude...but a few minutes earlier my  8 year old granddaughter was sitting next to me as I was searching, old car photos... eBay search needs some work.

I just did the same search... 'Retro photos' and was also very surprised at what I found. Who knew??? 😦

OP is NOT advertising.  Not sure how you did the search, but I did it & did not see any of OP's photos.  That said, OP has photos that are similar to what comes up, just not as much nudity.  

The pics mostly seem to be nudes in the Art category.   What you call smut, I'm sure others call art & vice versa.  I think b/c they are in the art caegory, you don't have to be over 18 to view.

But, yes, looking at some of your photos (who could wear those sweaters after the girls in your photos had stretched them out?) reminds me of a Playboy cartoon from the 1950s with two co-eds in Letter-sweaters, the quite busty talking, the caption "Trenton? Why, no, my boyfriend's a Yale man, too!" (I'll leave the picture to your imagination. For the life of me I can never seem to erase it from mine)

I ran the same search.  THe first two images were of Grandma in her kitchen.  The next set were... not that.   Pretty blatantly not that, in fact.  Things I could have gone the rest of my life without seeing....

I just listed a Spanish set that includes the Naked Maja.

Nekkid Ladies was a popular side collection back in the day. 

When Canada Post put out its first 'picture' stamp, a self stick stamp you could add another sticker to, Alan Steinhart (of course) sent around a mailing where the extra sticker was a Playboy model.  The good old boys thought it was a hoot.

lol- it is amazing that Ebay search!   Its algorithms are so bad. Now if you want some real modern completely naked pictures- just search for a Ford car part # and you will be blown away LOL. no "black bars" over the "goodie parts"- just full on nude woman - ALL  SPONSERED RESULTS MIND YOU. 

This is a common ford part # configuration- c9zz-1440-a

its fun to compare ebays search results vs googles..... here is a hint- google shows a variety of 1969 ford mustang parts as it should and ebay shows buxom British nudes lol

    Again - it is beyond comprehension that the search can ignore the biggest most important keywords and just show nude pics. (nudes should only show up in a search if searched with words such as nude/naked/**bleep**/nipples/breasts/sexy/etc.) This all happened after their big item specifics and category updates 6 months ago-

     Its a miracle that we sell anything on a platform that never shows people what they search for.
