Combine Shipping doesn't work - charging shipping for each item separately

Hello everyone!

I have a troubling problem with shipping fees. In my shipping profile I have set my shipping price and 0 USD for each additional item.

I would like to charge my customer only one shipping fee, the highest fee from the whole cart of items, but only once. Example - customer places in a cart 10 items with 6USD shipping and 2 items with 10 USD shipping. Final charge - 10 USD. Something very normal and popular.

Unfortunately it does not work as intended. It works only if the customer buys the same item twice or more - then the shipping profile kicks in and charges only the first shipping cost, but if a customer mixes many of my items in the cart then for each of them there is applied shipping cost.

I have tried with every different setting in Shipping Differences but still there is no clear option "Charge only the highest shipping for the whole order".

Can you helpe me out here?

Thanks,

Rafał

Can the buyer place all the items in their cart and "request invoice"? You can adjust it from there. I do not believe there is a way to combine shipping from multiple listings any other way...and if there is, I would like to know also. I have also just issued refunds for the difference. That is an easy way to do ti also. For international sales through GSP, I have made special listing to include all the items a buyer wants too since you cannot invoice them.

First make sure that you allow combined shipping costs. You can do that on your shipping preferences page.  Then on that same page click on edit next to ‘flat shipping rule’.  Select ‘add an amount for each additional item’. Under ‘each additional’ there is a box where you can check free shipping.   Name the rule and click save.

Then you have to associate your listings with that rule. In sellers hub active listings click on edit - all listings.  Choose domestic listings - change to -under combined shipping click no charge - change to, check off apply my flat rate shipping rule - Save

Hopefully I didn’t miss a step but it should be fairly easy to figure out.

Once this is done, when a customer buys multiple items, they will pay shipping for the item with the highest shipping and then the other  items will have free shipping.

To.check if it is set up, go into one of your listings as a buyer, click on the shipping/payments tab and at the top of that section it should say something like free shipping for additional items.

That is due to ebays shopping cart failure within the USA and for overseas sales ebay refuses to let items be combine, but there is a way around this, but it takes a little time and conversation with the buyer. You create a new listing and include all the items into one listing making a package deal for the buyer with the fair and reasonable shipping cost. send the buyer back the item number and name of the package deal, he then can pay for the transaction and is happy and you salvaged a sale with a good reputation. ONCE the buyer completes the new transaction then you can go back and cancel the old unpaid items, so ebay does not ding his account with non paying bidder tags, For those of you who remember how easy  it was BEFORE the shopping cart you will understand....

I forgot to mention that what you did for domestic shipping, also has to be done with international shipping so that buyers outside of the US also receive the same combined shipping benefits.

Note that the op is not in the US.
