For those of you who say eBay does not interfere in our sales, you are full of bleeping bleep. I went over 4 months with 2-3 sales per week. It was pathetic! Some were blaming my methods, etc, etc. Shortly after getting 3 emails from eBay that my limitations to selling in the US, UK & globally have been removed, I have had 12 sales this week. 4 just today, so far. Nothing of 'necessity' like several like to say is the cause of dropping sales. "Sell only what people consider are necessities." I'm sure will have some lame explanations for this cause & effect. lol Good luck to all. 🙂

Interesting development.
Congrats on the sales!

Why was your account limited?

Oopps - title should be 'not likely' lol

Due to slow or undelivered mail. All my fault! lol

Poor performance results in search demotion. Even if these were carrier or weather issues, eBay says it's the seller's fault and will punish your search ranking if too many claims are filed. That's not a secret. If people previously told you that your slow sales were 100% due to selling non-necessities, then they probably didn't know your account had some other issues going on.
But am I wrong or aren't you the poster that has started a slow sales thread nearly every week for several years with a brief respite during the 2020 Covid sales surge? The "good luck to us all" guy?
Is your recent slow sales issue something different from the past several years?
Sorry if I'm missing some important details or timelines here. I don't read all the posts on this forum or follow individual accounts, but due to the number of posts I do recognize your ID as the slow sales / Canadian hockey seller. 🏒

Maybe the recent NHL Draft made some of your items look more like 'necessities'? Go with the flow... hell, ride the wave.

A quick review of the past threads started by the OP shows that you do seem to be correct. Well spotted. 😊

What kind of "limitations" did ebay put on your US sales before those limitations were lifted?

Chicken strips and slaw for all.
Congrats on the sales.

Partially coincidence is all. You have never mentioned Ebay put you on a bad seller list. No wonder why you had lower sales. Sellers who get put on a bad seller list have lower results in search. Glad you got off that list. Even with that said, if you are not in an oversaturated category people could still see your listings. DO NOT be fooled, people either want you stuff or they don't. Sales come and go.

My slow sales, when they occurred, would be 8-10 a week. They dropped to 2-3 a week. Week after week after week. NOT the normal 'ebb & flow' as some like to say. It went on for over 4 months.

Thanks for that info, it wasn't in your OP and I'm trying to follow along. So your typical sales flow is 8-10 per week, and your 4 month slow sales period saw 2-3 per week. Got it.
So yeah, then what I said above still stands. The shipping issues would have contributed to lower sales because of a lower search ranking, though I don't think it's the only factor. Many sellers have seen slower sales the past few months. It's a tough time right now.
Hockey season recently ended and won't begin again until October, so don't be surprised if you see an off-season slowdown, at least in that category.
Nice that you got one solid sales day in. Always good to see a seller talk about strong sales, even if it's for a short period.
