Codes in Listing Titles

I've recently noticed some seller listings that begin with three letter-numeral codes in parentheses, such as (RI5) or (MA6). Sorry for my ignorance, but what do they mean?

Codes in Listing Titles

They probably  put them at the beginning to they can sort the listings in their seller hub.  I don't think it's a great idea as that is precious real estate when it comes to search, but oh well.
