Clothing Sellers. I need some help with this, please

I'm obviously not a clothing seller; However, my elderly neighbor lady asked me if I could help her sell some clothing here.

I really have no idea how to market this item nor the others that she wishes for me to sell for her. I put this item up for auction just to see what may happen. I have no idea about selling clothing.

If some of you experienced clothing sellers  could help me out it would be greatly appreciated!

I.E. Does the listing look alright? I know the pictures could be better, but as said, I don't sell clothing and it's rather difficult trying to take pictures when you don't have the proper background for clothing.

While there is some good advice I would suggest not doing this "small" favor for your neighbor.  I used to sell for other people and it is too complicated to sell clothes here in the first place.  Then you have the ebay fees and the tax situation to explain to her.  

Helping her run a garage or sidewalk sale when it is safe to do so will be much more rewarding and less complicated.  Better yet, if she itemizes deductions you might just help her get the extra cloths donated to a domestic violence shelter or Goodwill.

Some seniors need more social contact so I figure once it is safe why not hold a joint sale to help them out?

Also, while I am soap boxing, there are many single seniors living alone who may need help figuring out how to get their Covid vaccines.  They may not use the internet and can't drive.  If they don't have family around it couldn't hurt to ask if someone older who needs help mowing their lawn whether they have gotten their vaccine shot(s) yet.

Great idea.  Our local paper has daily information about how/where to get your vaccine.  Can you casually mention that to your neighbor and ask if they have gotten theirs yet?

As far as the clothing is concerned, I believe I'd try to find somewhere local to donate it.  That way, you're not having to spend money on postage.

You have a generous spirit, not enough of that in this world...  Make sure the neighbor doesn't think the clothing 'sold' and that's where the money came from, she likely has closets full of the old stuff.

I'll ship it on my dime and give my neighbor a few bucks.

@stackers_xag  That's an excellent idea!  It spreads good in the world and we need this badly, and honestly, the time and hassle saved for you not listing it, given that it's not your usual product line, will translate into a nice little recompense for your friend. 

If you ever DO list clothing (I sell clothing here for a living), fixed price, immediate payment only is the way to go. 

In the bicycling community here we've been delivering groceries and other parcels for shut-ins and seniors who can't get around. All last summer and fall I was hauling stuff with my bike and trailer and delivering here and there.  It's our way of giving back in these hard times.  We can all do something, and providing transportation and company for elders for their vaccine appointments is a great idea!

My advice from being on this site for 23 years... don't get involved in that.

Clothing is one of the most difficult categories to list and sell in, especially since it's rife with returns from people who don't know their own dimensions (which need to be given in the listing). I would never buy clothing unless it's from a designer who's sizing I'm very familiar with, then I'll take the risk and donate it if it doesn't fit me.
