Was looking at shirts this morning and noticed on main page a shirt that was $19.99 NWT and free shipping. Right underneath the title it shows in blue 2 new and refurbished starting at $14.99. Out of curiosity I clicked on it to see what is up.
One was new for 14.99 BUT $6.00 shipping so not cheaper as you are led to believe. The other was USED and $14.99 plus $3.00 shipping.
Why would ebay even put something like this under clothing??? How do you compare free shipping with items that charge shipping and why are they showing it cheaper when it isn't? Also, why even compare "refurbished", USED to New with tags?

I should not have said main page, it should have said the result on the search page. Where I would look at the items it was narrowed down to, such as size, etc.

This would be a result of ebay's BEST MATCH search algorythm.
Cassinni along with AI have decided this is the Best Match for you.

Nope, just got my answer at todays sticky from ebay. Here is a link:
Evidently, as of today used clothing is now considered "refurbished" from what I gather!

My bad, maybe a little more explaining about the search parameters you were using would have help me understand better.
IT seems now, you got directed to a product page, in which ebay was trying to see if you would buy from that search algorithm. They want to see if you are a Free shipping shopper, new Item shopper, and a myriad of other types of other shopper.
ebay wants to get to know you and how you like to search so they can show you what they think is most relevant to you.
Make sure you are not using the BEST MATCH search and select options on left of search result screen to narrow down what you want to see.
