Closing an account so I can use the email address elsewhere

I have 2 eBay accounts and I only actually use one of them. I think I mistakenly opened the second one by creating an account through google sign in or something. In any case, that one has my primary email address which I would like to use for the other account instead. My question is, how do I completely close out this second account so I can use my email for my main account?

Instead of closing the other account you could assign a new email address (a freebie throwaway) and then in 30 days you can use it to replace the email address of your preferred account.

If you want to close your second account go to this page (not that if you have sold anything recently on that account the closure will not happen immediately.

Also be aware that you will have to wait 30 days after closing the account before you can use that email address on the other account.
