Check your listing for correct shipping method & costs

I put up several listings yesterday and had one sale overnight. Unfortunately, the shipping cost had gone from calculated to free since I posted it.

Although I am eating the shipping on this one, I took time to double check the other listings I had put up.  Lo and behold, three others had gone from calculated to free, and one of them was just a relist where the original listing had shown calculated when posted on the site!

When I went into each of the listings, I discovered they still showed that the free shipping box was not checked, but instead of the top banner saying "calculated shipping" it had defaulted to "flat rate."   So the posted listing went from showing a calculated rate to "free shipping"--- ignoring the poundage put in entirely.

So basically if the top banner reads flat rate, the default on ebay seems to be free shipping even if the free shipping box is not checked.

I ship anything first class with shipping included in the price but anything over one pound I make calculated rate.

Perhaps it is just my listings that were affected here (or I massively goofed up somehow), but I thought I would post this in case any one else is affected.

I looked at the new listings you made yesterday and none of them show any revisions, so it does look like they were listed exactly as they show. Any changes that might have happened from an eBay bot or yourself would show history in the revisions list.

BTW some of the other items you listed yesterday show as free shipping to me right now.

Good Luck Selling!

When I checked your listings it is showing you have free shipping on 40 items out of 68.  Thought you might want to know if you are not wanting to have free shipping.

I did in fact revise three listings this morning, so not sure why they do not show up as revised.

The listings I revised included the spinning top toy, the lady perfume bottle (that glass dome weighs a lot!), and Martinsville bowl.   Both the top and Martinsville bowl had been listed before with calculated shipping (I had forgotten about the bowl also being a relist in my first posting) and had shown correctly before as calculated shipping.)  So something definately happend here.

I offer free shipping (which we all know just means shipping included) on all items that can go out first class.  For anything that has to go priority I use the calculated shipping since shipping to one of the coasts from Michigan can be costly.

Maybe this just happened to my lisitngs but thought I might post this in case anyone else had an issue.
