Check your eBay Statements CAREFULLY!

Be sure to check all eBay statements CAREFULLY!  I have found numerous mistakes over the years and ALWAYS in eBay's financial favor. Be sure to read all correspondence and be sure all refunds are on your final statement. This week I discovered:

1. Ebay hadn't refunded a shipping fee. Their emails stated the total amount HAD BEEN refunded, but my payout statement showed it HAD NOT BEEN.

2. Ebay hadn't refunded a final value fee after the item was returned due to a mistake made by the buyer.

3. Since August eBay has been charging me .35 insertion fees on all items. I have called 4 times, been told a ticket to correct the situation would be filed, the ticket would be "escalated," been told I would receive a call after the issue was rectified. None of which have happened.

Be forewarned, as a consumer, you should be carefully checking ALL statements. Especially these days. We're finding financial mistakes left and right and NEVER in our favor. Not sure if it is because of new, inexperienced employees? Are companies trying to make-up financial ground as our economy starts up again in this Covid era? I'm not a conspiracy theorist nor do I raise alarm unnecessarily, but buyer beware, especially these days!

It does not matter what day it is or has been. You should always compare your records with anyone that you did business with. Nothing today has changed that basic process.
