Changing the end date on an auction

I have my first sell on EBay.

I need to change the end date of an auction / buy it now.  It is for concert event tickets and the end date accidentally is set 5 days after concert.   I currently have one bid.  Bidder notified me of this error.   I cannot find a way to change it.

Thank you for your help !!!

Dan

Changing the end date on an auction

That is because you can not change it. I believe this is what you will need to do.

End the listing by visiting the site map and end listing link.

Pay for final value fee's for the incorrect posting

create new posting

notify your bidder that you end and reposted your offering.

Sorry, there is no other way to address and yes you will incur fee's.

You have two options.

1.  End the auction early and sell to the highest bidder at the time.

2.  Cancel all bids, end the auction, pay the final value fee even though you have not sold the item, then relist.

If this is the first time this year that you cancel bids on an item and ended it early, ebay will forgive the $ penalty.

Sellers get one freebie/year of this kind of mistake.

Unless that policy changed when I wasn't looking.

Alternately, if the opening price on your item is one you could live with, you can end the listing early by selling to the current high bidder.

No penalties involved in that kind of end-early of a listing.

@dgshanahan

The one for seat #33 ending in under 1 hour you will be fine with as it's is only the 19th today.
the one for seat #34 you can end by selling to the high bidder , or cancel the bid then end the auction & relist it.

if it is the same buyer for both don't end  Seat #34 then not relist or ebay may hit you with an off site sale & charge you a final value fee thinking you took the sale off site
