Cellphones Can Help Increase Sales - Blog #2

Whenever your at a thrift store, yard sale, junk yard or whatever, it's important to have a phone with Internet so that you'll be able to do research while on the road about prices on a item to see if it's a good deal. It doesn't have to be an expensive smartphone, but something where it's easy to access the Internet. It may take more time to do research, but the more knowledge you know about a certain item to buy, the better you'll be into a much better sale. Don't do the guessing game on a item, know the facts.

If your somebody who is not sure how to activate an advance cellphone like the iPhone, Walmart we believe can activate the phone so that you'll be able to use the phone while on the road. "Straight-Talk" is a good cellular service provider to use for your phone. It cost about $50 a month to keep your phone activate.

Discussion Question: What are some things that you use to help you understand prices better or ways that help you save money?

Totally agree! I've recently started hunting at thrift shops and antique malls again, and I'm using my phone as well to compare prices with listings here on ebay. Helps to know what something is selling for before you buy, then you have a better idea of what to expect as a profit. No research at all often ends in no profits.

I guess there may be some people out there who have not figured out that its possible to do this. Not sure why you need to get Walmart involved though. If you have a smartphone with internet access then boom - you have everything you need already.

I will say this though - if you visibly stand around at a sale researching the final sale price on Ebay then either someone else is going to grab the item - because its obvious what you are doing and that you were interested in it - or you can forget about haggling the price down with the seller because they will already know what your game is.

If you seriously need to research the price then look at the COMPLETED listings and not  just the sold ones because that will give you a truer picture of how likely it is to sell. And do all this around the corner and out of sight. Dont stand over the very object you are researching because that will be way too obvious. Just be quick - go do your sale search several feet away from the prize or around the corner and then come back again.
