Case opened by buyer for "item not received" but mistook and actually received it, funds still on ho

May 28th 10:09 AM a case was submitted for "item not received", sent him a message, 10 hours later he says he received the item. Since then my funds from that sale have been on hold in PayPal. I asked him to resolve the case (I have no idea what options a buyer has on their end) and he said it should show as resolved, but nothing.

The option has appeared for "eBay to step in". When will my funds be taken off hold, after a certain amount of time passes if he does nothing, or does he have to do something on his end? Thanks.

Probably should of mentioned I sell digital goods so there is no way of adding tracking but he did confirm in a message he got the items (been doing this since 2015 about and never once had this issue). Sounds like I should wait for it to time out then, may I ask how long that usually takes? Thank you.

In that case, if the buyer doesn't close it, you are just going to have to wait for it to time out.  Which is about 30 days from the filing of the claim.  You can't do anything except ask your buyer to close the claim.

When a buyer files an INR all you need to do as a seller is check the tracking.  If the tracking shows delivered, then you can call Ebay and ask them to close the case in your favor.

You can do this with this claim too.  If the tracking shows delivered, just call Ebay in the morning and get the claim closed.  You don't have to wait on the buyer to take care of it or for it to time out.  It's best to call and just get it taken care of.

Hi, if the tracking shows as delivered, and the tracking number has been uploaded into the case, you can call eBay customer service to close the case in your favor while you are on the phone with them.

You don't have to upload the tracking to the case.  But you are right, the OP would have needed to have had the tracking number previously entered into Ebay.
