Case closed on unpaid buyer but Feedback still possible

I rarely list items as auctions but had one recently where the buyer didn't pay.  I promptly filed a case and the closing and relisting went smoothly.  The item was resold to another party through buy-it-now.  The problem is, the opportunity to give and receive feedback with the nonpaying party is still possible -- as I found out when I accidentally gave positive feedback to the first buyer.  I can't revoke it and if I'm afraid adding a comment negating the positive feedback, no matter how politely worded, could invite a negative response.  No?  Supposedly this is all temporary but I don't like this person benefitting for a single day.  When does this all time out?  Thanks.

The nonpaying BUYER can't leave feedback after they loose an IUD @loupgaroubooks but you can leave feedback still, as it is your pejorative.

Leave it alone, nothing you can do anyway.  Hopefully you did cancel for non-payment, so the buyer gets a strike on their account.

What would be the point of being able to leave FB for that buyer since you know you cannot leave negative feedback for buyers, right?  And that's not "temporary", but is a permanent rule on eBay for at least as long as I've been here.

Sellers have been unable to leave negative or neutral ratings for buyers since May 20, 2008.

In the past, after a buyer got a nonpayment strike, then neither party was able to leave feedback.  Then a couple of years ago somebody noticed that a seller who had left a strike was still able to leave feedback.  But a buyer who has gotten a strike cannot.

Thanks everyone for your input.  I'll do nothing about feedback and learn from my carelessness.  🙂
