Cannot block a bidder. It says invalid user. I spoke to ebay on the phone and they don't know the answer either! so couldn't help me! Meanwhile I am unable to stop bidder contacting me and leaving aggressive and defamatory feedback which can't be removed and is totally made up!

There is no reason for eBay to remove that negative comment. Feedback is simply a buyer's opinion. Apparently, your buyer felt that perfume wasn't legit, and they expressed such feelings. They aren't required to 'prove' what they are saying as it is an opinion only. If this buyer is still sending you message just delete them without reading them. You are not obligated to read any messages from this person. Best of luck to you....

Well, the feedback was not aggressive, and, basically, you concede in your response that your product was counterfeit. Now, I don't really believe what you wrote - but if you cancelled a contract with a wholesale distributor, that would have been for cause. You can't have it both ways - cancelled a contract with a distributor b/c they supplied a counterfeit product AND a buyer calling out your counterfeit item is an invented story.

Less than positive experience for the buyer even if refunded.
Would be nice if they did, buy a buyer is not required to contact the seller before leaving feedback.
Communication cannot be blocked immediately when there has been a transaction. (not for at least 30 days. may be longer, and if you reply it just extends your interaction) If you have blocked the buyer they will be unable to bid. There is a box to check mark when blocking an ID, but again that is for future transactions, not the current one.

If you see "invalid user" when you attempt to block there may be an error in the ID you entered.
Copy, and paste the ID to add to your BBL.

On top of what jack mentions, I've had that red message... only to find that the user was already on my BBL. I laffed at myself... scrolled through my long (alphabetical) list and there it was.

If it says user NOT found it's because you have a typo. Example Mary001 and MaryOO1 are NOT the same. The first one, I used ZERO ZERO and the second one , I used the letter O twice. Go back and see if you can cut and paste their name. LOOK at the name. Did they use the # 1 or the letter l (lower case L) Example: Mary001 and Mary00l . I used a lower case L for the second example. Did they use a - or a _ ? Try cut and pasting and this way you copy the name exactly like they wrote it.
Also call up ebay and ask them to remove the negative since they mentioned the word REFUND. That is a no-no. Keep calling and ask for a supervisor if necessary and ask them to remove it while you are on the phone.

Scroll thru your BBL list and you will probably see the username was added to the list. There is a long running glitch where that error is shown even though it was successfully added. Happens almost every time I add a new name.

about 50% of the time that I cut and paste a buyers I.D. to my block list, it won't take on the first attempt. I simple paste again and it confirms they are added.
Some tyle of small glitch to me.
