Cannot add a description to items for sale

I cannot for the life of me add a description to my listings. Every time I add the description it does NOT save and disappears completely.  Has anyone been able to figure this out?

I have noticed that if there is an offer on the item, several fields cannot be changed...

You listed the item without a description.

Then someone bid on it.

Now you can no longer add/change the description because someone has bid on it.

The time to add the description is when you list it, not after.

The only thing you can do now is cancel the bid(s).

Then end the listing and re-list it (this time with a description).
