Cancelling/closing a case

I accidentally openned a case that I now need to cancel. How can I cancel the request so I can cancel the purchase? Or how can I get ahold of eBay not overcall?

If you opened an Unpaid Item dispute instead of a cancellation request you did your next fellow seller a favour.

It cannot be changed, just let it run its course and close it in 96 hours.

In all likelihood the time-waster is not on their first "offense" and will soon find out ebay is not a game
