I need some clarification on cancelling a store.

My store renews July 1, 2024, but I want to make sure the annual subscription doesn't renew.

I looked into cancelling now, but the info states that you will be charged $8.25 for the early cacellation, but it also says something to the effect that the store will remain in place until the year is up.

So in order to avoid the early cancellation fee, do I have to wait until a few days before the July 1 renewal? Or is there no way to avoid an early cancellation fee?

I know $8.25 is not a back-breaker, but I am just wondering if there is any way to avoid the fee...even a few days before July 1 will still be an early termination, right?

What are we supposed to do? cancel at exactly midnight on June 30?

My understanding is you can cancel in June. and avoid the fee.

Early Termination Fee

If you cancel or downgrade your yearly subscription before the last calendar month of your yearly subscription, you’re charged an early termination fee; if you make such changes during the last month of your subscription you’re not charged an early termination fee.

When you cancel a Store subscription, the change takes effect on the first day of the following calendar month. So to avoid an early termination fee on a subscription that renews on July 1, you can cancel the subscription any time in June.

If you cancel now, you will incur an early termination fee and the cancellation will take effect on February 1, not at the end of the year. I think you misread something.
