A while back when eBay tightened up its adult listings requirements, I got a notice that you couldn't post nudity but you also weren't allowed to could cover up or use black bars on a photo image. The image had to be unobstructed for buyers. I recently had a post taken down for alleged nudity in an image on a listing of an older Playboy magazine (I still am not sure where the nudity was) and the eBay message said: "We appreciate that you chose to utilize our site and you are welcome to relist this item as long as the nudity is censored or obscured."
So, did eBay change its policy? Can you once again censure or obscure an image to make sure there is no nudity? I'm trying to make sure more listings don't get taken down.

I would not relist it until you obscure the image.
If you're looking at the magazine and thinking "Where? Where is the nudity? She is wearing a bikini."......
I "think" they are referring to "cleavage". I know, it sounds strange but it happen to me once they made the category change in regard to "adult content".
And, you may see the exact same magazine that is not obscured. But, that just means eBay didn't catch that sellers listing. If you list it without the obscuring......it could lead to it being taken down again with harsher penalties.
Just an FYI.

Confused on the obscured rule also. We had a John Lennon album (shaved fish) removed and asked the same question of e-Bay. Conflicting answers on e-Bay for Business on this - the language to not obscure is still there. Other Sellers only show partial pix, etc.
We did not relist - decided it was too risky.

To confuse you even more....this has happened to my listings in the past....
Had a Playboy mag that did not have any nudity on it....(bathing suits)
as any good photographer/editor would do, there was some excellent manipulation of lighting/shadowing accentuating the cleavage....I decided to play it safe and put the "censored" box over that portion of the cover....
it was removed for nudity on the cover.....I explained there was no nudity...I was just being causious so I used the black out over the questionable area....actually got an answer I could not argue with....
"If there is no nudity, why did you obscure it?"
Nudity is not allowed, and neither is "censoring" the nudity....I am still confused as to the actual policy

Who were you able to complain to on the specific item? I haven't been able to figure out how to do that.

Been awhile...but I followed some help links, and the generated pages seemed to know what I was looking for and suggested "help pages" to resolve my issues....at the bottom of the page it asked if I had any more problems, click here to contact CS or something like that....

I reached out to e-Bay CS on social media (e-Bay Facebook for Business) on my situation.
