Can't combine postage

Hi, buyer bought 2 items and paid without using the "request total from seller" option in the basket before checkout which would have allowed me to reduce the total cost by £3. Am I fine to just refund them through paypal which is how they sent me the money?

2) I have my postage for all my items as free, does this prevent buyers from combining items in basket?

3) Also it is not allowing me to combine postage when I try to buy the postage label from ebay. I checked my settings and they allow for one combined payment. I'm guessing this is just because they did not request total from seller?

Sorry for all the questions. I'm new to this and it's pretty confusing

Hi - I just let the buyer know what is going on & put what I owe them in with whatever they bought. So far it has worked out fine.  L

First go here,

and click the box on the items you want to ship together. Then click on the "Shipping" drop-down and select "Purchase shipping label". That should take you here,

Click the boxes on the items you want to ship together and click on the "Combine" box. Next select the shipping service and fill in the other info (weights, etc.) and when you are finished click on the "Purchase label" box and you should be taken to the Print Label page. HTH.

Appreciate the response. I can see the combine box but when I have both items selected, with identical addresses, it will not let me select it! They bought both items within the same day too.

You may get better responses by posting this issue on your "home" board on ebay.co.uk. While there are many similarities between ebay.com and ebay.co.uk, there may be something happening on the UK platform that US sellers aren't aware of. Here's a link to the ebay.co.uk discussion forum:
