Can't answer buyer questions. For months we were unable to answer questions from Seller Hub. Got this message:
"The question you are trying to answer is either invalid or older than 90 days. You cannot respond to questions older than 90 days."
(The question is from today).
Before this we had to go to MESSAGES and reply from there. Now that doesn't work either. Anyone have a workaround?

I get this error when logged into a different eBay account name than the message came from (or not logged in). Try logging out and back in to the account the message was sent to.

Make sure the user is still registered. Sometimes eBay removes a user for sending spam messages, and you will no longer be able to reply to that message.
Go to the user's profile or feedback page. If the user is still registered, you should be able to compose a new message using the Contact link there.

It's a known bug, happens constantly. I think it was jasmen@ebay looking into it from another thread. It's been going on for months. It has nothing to do with unregistered people, NARU's or being logged into the wrong account. IT's a bug, plain & simple. In the other thread from a few weeks ago, Jasmen or whoever the 'pink' was told us they'd been unable to figure out so far, why it happens sometimes, but not all the time. Ebay is well aware of it.
The workaround I use is to answer them from my email. That works 100% of the time.

Thanks for the tag @simply-the-best-for-you I did get this looked into and it seems that old cache and cookies can cause the issue too. If it doesn't work in an incognito browser it would be best for members to reach out to CS so a new ticket can be opened for them.
