I have revised my pre-existing listings to be associated with my new Basic eBay Store categories (not eBay categories)
I can see how many items I have in each category by looking at the manage category list - however, I do not see the items as viewable on the store screen. there is an area that says my inventory will be seen here - but it cannot. I select preview, still nothing. I have not tried to publish, since I would like to look it over first.
It has been more than 24 hours since I began associating my pre-existing item listings to my store categories
What am I missing? Thanks in advance!
Thanks for reply. I have done everything in the 2-step process you mentioned. I also went ahead and published. Still, nothing displays in my store except the "Coming Soon" billboard I created.
Looking at the last sentence of your first message - "you have to edit every listing and assign category", I have not assigned EVERY item I have listed yet. I have 275 items listed, and about 100 of those listings have been assigned to my store categories. *It has taken a good bit of time to set up categories, sub-categories and make listing assignments
I presumed the active listings I assign would appear in the store, while active unassigned listings would NOT appear in the store. I did not think that ALL active listings would be required to have store category assignments for the store to show the partial inventory that has been assigned to store categories
I had the notion that, perhaps, a seller might not want all listed items to be on display in the store - maybe a simplified store, etc
I'll keep assigning the rest of my active listings to store categories. My publish button is now dimmed. I'd like to be able to see how things are taking shape as I am constructing my first store category design - hope to reduce the need to redo
