Can not add amount for minimum offer

When I create a new listing and allow offers, I check to box to allow offers. Then I check the box to set the minimum off amount. I add the lowest offer amount and hit the done button. But when I go back in, no amount is listed. Also when I try and post the listing it gives me an error that the offer number is not valid, even though no number is listed.

What am I doing wrong?

thanks

I've noticed some of the fields are having problems with data 'sticking' so you have to redo it and wait for the form to save the data.

Have you been seeing this @shipscript and do you have any advice to offer other than enter the data again and wait for it to save?

I was seeing this issue with the Custom Label SKU on the new listing form (in both listing creation and listing revision). The SKU will not stick on the listing unless I do one of three things:

1) After entering the SKU, open and close the popup settings where the SKU slot is enabled, or
2) set the SKU on the popup, or
3) preview the listing prior to posting it.

There appear to be differences in how the field is saved in those areas, which are different than (or missing from) the save that occurs when posting the listing.

As @wastingtime101  has mentioned, when some fields are modified, the form has to load new parameters and forms, so there may be a delay while that happens before new data can be entered (and where prior data is removed because it may be affected by the new settings).

I have not tested the "offer" thresholds during listing creation or revision, although I have seen some data conflict on the bulk editor during revision. I'll have to test creating a new listing. But in the interim, see if previewing has any effect on saving the data.

Thanks @shipscript. I've noticed with some of the item specific fields where you manually enter text (like 'model' as an example) that when the box closes out, the form will show the old text (from a sell similar), but when you click on the field again, the new text will suddenly populate without the box expanding. You have to click on it for that to happen though.

@wastingtime101
Be sure to use the feedback link at the top right of the desktop listing form when encountering issues like this. Programmatically, this data is not triggering a save until some other step is processed. The programmers need to know the exact steps that lead to failure and that lead to success. That will help them track down where to insert more "save" tests. The feedback link in the listing is the best way to get these issues addressed, and is especially fruitful if the feedback is detailed.

Yep, I've had the same issue for the last 6 months. I thought it was a Linux issue. Thanks for pointing it out though.

This is such a basic problem it should be embarrassing for Ebay to put this live. Who the **bleep** is coding and testing your **bleep**? This is basic **bleep**.
