Almost daily, I review my bookmarked searches for new items as well as sold searches for things I may have missed. Sometimes there are more items included in a listing than are noted in the title or shown in the first photo and sometimes details of missing items or damage are given that help explain why an item sold for as little or as much as it did.
Tonight in going through my searches, I find I cannot view individual completed listings. When I try, I get a new page that says, "The listing you’re looking for is no longer available. Check out this similar item we found for you," and it shows me something different. Of course the "simiar" item is never even close to what I wanted to see.
This has not happened prior to today, so I was wondering if anyone else was experiencing this. Has there been some permanent change? Does ebay now feel threatened by sellers' ability to look at a sold item (which would seem the most plausible, knowing how paranoid they are)? Thanks for any responses or insights.

I am getting the SAME thing and it is driving me NUTS!
It even happens on an ended item that has been relisted, I click on it to see the relisted item and I get "The listing you’re looking for is no longer available. Check out this similar item we found for you."
Every bloody time ebay does an update they royally mess things up.
They just recently fixed the watch list issue where you had to go to list instead and now this.
Totally embarrassing and frustrating.

I'm getting a variety of results when I try to view closed listings from emails and watch list.
1) "Bidding has ended on this item." Shows the completed listing I want to see as it always has.
2)"The selected item is no longer available." No clickable link to the completed listing.

I'm also getting:
4) "This listing has ended. The seller has relisted this item or one like this."
5) One that says something like "here's something similar in your watch list"

Yes. Very frustrating not to able to research. I guess eBay is trying to push as much **bleep** as possible in order to rival Amazon. And, to have some rude approximation of my interest shoved at me is even more gauling.
I collect and ocassionally sell antique and vintage clocks. One tremendous asset of doing business on eBay USED TO BE the ability to research the market; search past sales, and save pending sales of interest to see their selling price. No more.
Why doesn't eBay understand BASIC BUSINESS concepts? More views beget more purchases. If I can't research a category of interest... I'm less likely to browse... and therefore less likey to discover something to buy.
Bay -- you've always demonstrated disregard for sellers. No you are taking pains to lose buyers. Best of luck with that.

Ebay has taken a play out of the ETSY site, which is one of the worst selling sites ever conceived. Why they would want to emulate them is beyond comprehension. Viewing past auctions is a valuable seller tool. Bring it back!

@kimmron wrote:I called eBay today as I am experiencing the same issue and was told that they are aware, that it is a global glitch and that they are working on it. I guess that’s better than saying it’s a permanent change. Let’s hope they resolve it as soon as possible.
There are many site wide issues right now.

I will no longer use Ebay until they reinstate the sold details. The marketing genius at EBay who made this decision is an idiot and should be fired.

If an item or a seller is reported or is in dispute by an eBay member (the reporter may not necessarily be the buyer), eBay removes the item from viewing after the sell is completed.

There is a solution to this, which is to install the browser plugin called "Redirector" (details here: http://einaregilsson.com/redirector/). Then, define a new rule in the options as follows:
Description: Allow opening ended eBay listings
Example URL: https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/
Include pattern: (https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/.*)
Redirect to: $1&nordt=true

This must have rolled out from beta to site-wide. Now I am getting the same problem. Makes researching past sold or unsold items, in order price my similar item to sell, more difficult. One more reason to hate you ebay, thanks.

EBay is going in the toilet where they put themselves
