Can international shipping be added to invoice after auction ends?

I recently started selling on eBay again and admittedly am still getting used to it.

So far all of my listings have stated U.S. shipping only, and I typically use a flat fee for priority mail.

I have an auction for a rare seashell and was contacted by someone from Japan who really wants to bid and who asked if I will ship to Japan. Bidding has already started, so I don’t see a way of revising it to include international shipping, and I have no intention of ending and restarting the auction just for this person who may or may not actually bid.

That said, is it possible for him/her to bid on an item that is not set up for international selling? And if so, is it possible to revise the invoice after the auction ends to include an international shipping option and price?

Or is it simply too late to accommodate any non-U.S. bidders?

Put their user ID on your exemption list so they are not blocked from bidding. Then if they win you can look up the shipping cost and send them an invoice.

Are you eligilble for the eBay Global Shipping Program? That works wonders and solves all kinds of issues. I've had intl sellers buy many times and since they put that in I have had literally zero international problems.

I may try that in the future, thanks. I didn’t have global shipping set up for my current auctions.  Since bidding had already started, I am unable to revise the shipping options in the auction listing to include the global shipping or international shipping.
