Can I use someone else's credit card with a separate billing address to list an item?

I'm a new seller living in Japan. I was excited to list my first product until it redirected me to a "payment methods" page, where I have the option to either A) Use my PayPal account. B) Link my bank account. or C) Use a credit card - for the purpose of any listing fees. Even though I'm not using any, I must choose an option of payment in order to sell an item.

My issue is this:

Option A. requires a credit card that must be my own. PayPal's policy. I don't own one in Japan yet and it takes a while to receive one (if they even let you)

Option B. can only utilize bank accounts in the US

So, I was wondering if eBay would allow me to use my mother's credit card in option C. until I manage to get my own in Japan.

I know that it's not uncommon for people to use friends/family's cards to make purchases on eBay, but I don't want to go breaking some rules before I even start.

Any advice? And thank you for reading!

I would think that would fly.

eBay just wants a payment source to use for payment of listing fees, Final Value fees, any FedEx shipping charges (if you use any FedEx shipping), and any refunds to buyers that eBay themselves perform.

Likewise. There might be a small test charge put on it to verify that it's working, but I think that would be rolled back afterward.

Thanks for the replies! I went ahead with it, then got my account suspended after my first sale, haha. I couldn't get in touch with anyone for a few days because eBay's "upgrading the system", and stressed about the credit card thing the whole time.. Turned out they just wanted to "verify my identity" over the phone.
