Calling eBay

Can this no longer be done?  I've circled around the app 100 times and can't find a phone number or get in contact with a person there. Is this no longer an option?

Call Us | eBay

Click the appropriate box for call back. A chat box will open, there you will be given the option to do a live chat or receive a call back. eBay no longer has a phone number to call since pandemic.

Or you could tell us in here what is gong on. There are several responders here who are very experienced and may be able to offer assitance.

It has been more than a couple of years since you or pretty much anyone has been able to just call eBay. Depending on what help you need;

You could post here and someone here might be able to help. (We are not eBay employees, other buyers and sellers that have been around the block a time or two)

Use the Help/Contact that is on every page and wait for a call back.

Or send a PM to eBay Facebook for business or Twitter.

Besides telling the posters here about what happened you can also google the question and see if that answer might help.  EBay would have to raise selling fees to 25% if every seller had to talk with a representative anytime they had an issue.

You probably don't want to actually talk on the phone with what is being passed off as an eBay rep. Being outsourced contractors, they have been known to give totally incorrect advice, or to tell you what you want to hear just to get you off the phone... send a private message  to an actual eBay employee on Ebay for Business on Facebook or Twitter.

Cheers, Duffy

I received amazing customer service from a real, live human over the phone as recently as 2023. When I used the "chat" function, I'm pretty sure he had no clue what he was doing.

I'd suggest the "call back" function any day.

I've used the call back function several times, just not any time recently.  I can't seem to get it even at the link provided above by eBooksDiva.  It just circles me around the site clicking on things that aren't helpful.

99% chance that the call back will be from the Philippines (or other outsourced location) that will respond with the "scripted" answers. And, oh, hope they do not go "off script" as most anything might be suggested. No worries.

I would suggest that you contact Ebay for Business on Facebook or Twitter for the better trained CSRs.

Here are your options for contacting Ebay Customer Service.

https://twitter.com/askebay?lang=en

https://www.facebook.com/eBayForBusiness/

If when you use the link below you can only get to the Automated Assistant, type AGENT in the box and hit enter. You will then get more options.

I was able to call Ebay 2 days ago(and have for the past 15 years).  From "My Ebay" page, click the "Help & Contact" button at the top of the page  Scroll down to the bottom of the page and click "Call Us" right under "Need More Help?"

Customer service for me anyway, is always based in the US.  I've never been directed to an overseas call center.

From that link, click on the "Contact us" at the bottom. Follow the prompts for your particular issue.

When you get to a page with a link to the chat assistant, use that. Type "agent" into the chat window to request a chat with a human agent or to request a call back in North America.
