I'm so ebayed out I could scream. NOW they demand immediate payment on buy it now items under a certain sell $. I allow buyers to shop for a while...auction or buy it now and combine for lots of savings.
This is going to HURT my business substantially.
***EBAY...YOU MAKE ME SO ANGRY***
Their always in for the buyers but now its going to harm them.
Is this about "free" shipping again???????????
All I do is add the price into my sell item and it would cost more for all the darn shipping supplies.
I've opened an account on another auction sight.
Anyone with any suggestions. They do everything they can to destroy our business or should I say "their business" and I'm working for them.
What Next? I think i've left the USA - freedom - choice...maybe clicking my ruby shoes together will get me back to some type of normalcy.

Make sure your shipping preferences haven't been reset.

@northforke I don't get a ton of multiple purchases but there is a setting in Site Preferences - Shipping Preferences that apparently allows set-able number of days to allow Buyers to shop and pay. The minimum is 3 days, the "Recommended" is 30 days.
I also set the shipping weight for Combined. This has allowed Buyers to request an updated total invoice. I then pack, get the combined weight and dimensions, determine the shipping cost, adjust the invoice and send it off. I have only had I believe one customer who wound paying ALL shipping costs on a multiple order ... I simply refunded the different less Fees, so they still got a nice break on the shipping cost for the items.

And also fwiw - I also think this IPR on everything is one of the stupidest ideas eBay has come up with so far.
They started rolling this out at random a couple of years ago and they "said" that if buyers used the cart it would override the IPR and they'd be able to request a total for combined shipping, but this time that appears to not be the case.

Unfortunately the "add payment with pickup" option doesn't work for me (and I'm sure for a lot of others) as I in no WAY want to offer pickup options.
Pickup option is just a way to overcome the immediate payment cast on us by Ebay when you offer paypal and have a shipping fee. Maybe adding one of the other payments options will do the trick as well.

And why is it 'dumb' exactly?
What if someone DOES choose the pickup option, hmmm?
If they do pick up, less hassle on packing. If they don't, item is unpaid and you can relist.
