HOW I CLOSE MY SELLING ACCOUNT?

Click account settings in the drop down menu by your name on the upper left of Ebay. Find the CLOSE ACCOUNT button on the left. Probably have to wait a month or two after your last sale though. (Ebay has to make sure all your sales were legit and customers were happy.)

The quick answer is a lot longer than they initially lead you to believe you have to close all of your listings and you have to turn off your payment accounts and then what are you going to do, not buy anything on ebay

 not that I'm admitting that I buy anything on eBay but I do so whatever I wish I didn't cuz they already rip me off on a daily basis

You would think that you would be able to just let eBay hold that money while you close your account.

Stop using it.  If you had issues with any of your recent sales and owe eBay money or fees they won't close the account.

Do this ^^ and it's easy squeezy - it'll be 30 to 60 days, but at that point closes automatically and your data is deleted - you don't have to do anything else.

Strongly doubt eBay deletes your data. They at the very least archive since it is part of their business records.
