Buyers who leave duplicate comments on all of their feedbacks

I've been noticing this more nowadays, maybe I'm ignorant.

But do a high majority of buyers leave the same comment on every feedback they leave now? I've been getting more and more feedbacks with comments that make absolutely no sense in regards to the item sold. I then check the buyer's left feedback and they are all the same. Something like "It fits perfectly on my dog and he loves it, thanks." and they ended buying a bra from me, haha.

The comment doesn't matter to me at all, even if it was copy/pasted from a previous negative feedback they left (positive feedback with negative comment). I'm just wondering if it's the norm nowadays.

Yea, I figure. But is it the norm now? I guess as long as I even got a feedback from the buyer...

Just wow. Sellers keep complaining that buyers are not leaving feedback. Now they're LAZY because they use repeated terms?

I hope you guys aren't using your selling ids for these posts because they're not exactly warm and fuzzy for potential buyers.

Less than 10% of my buyers leave feedback.
It is a little strange that it doesn't make sense with what they purchased.
Maybe, they don't want anyone to know what they purchased and down the road, no one will, just their goofy feedback.
If it's a positive, take it. It's better than the alternative lol

Don't worry, I'm definitely not using my seller ID slight_smile

Thanks for your comment. So is it the norm as my question simply asked (or complained in your words) in my OP?

I'm a buyer only, and not on a very grand scale. I leave individualized feedback for each seller, even if I just change a word or two, or a phrase. Sometimes it's challenging if I've bought similar items from the same seller in the same order.

Contrarily, I find most sellers leave canned feedback. Very rarely do I get anything "personalized."

Yea I hear ya. The funny ones are when I get a negative and it's a duplicate comment from a positive feedback. I can't recall if there is a built in ebay function for buyers to duplicate comments (like there is for sellers).

Yea, I do this all the time as a seller myself to be honest. Although my comments are general and not specific to the item sold.

For buyers who buy a ton here, it'd be quite tedious to have to Ctrl-C, Ctrl-V all the time like this. Luckily for sellers we have a built in function to do this. I'd actually prefer it if ebay gave buyers this function to motivate leaving feedback.

I often do use generic feedback unless the seller is new. Most buyers will never read positives so a generic comment is good, I do try to refer to shipping and item quality. If the seller is new then I make sure I leave them a good descriptive comment.

When I'm buying inventory I buy a lot. Leaving generic feedback is the only way most sellers would get any.

For me this has always been the case.

At one time when I received an especially glowing feedback I would have a look at the other feedback left by the buyer. Gave up when I found out I was rarely all that special because the buyer left the same comment for every seller.

I do for most buyers.  It's faster and easy.  Who cares what I say when I am not allowed to say anything but happy?

Exactly.  All of those "Best Seller Ever !!!" feedback comments left for 313 different sellers.

Unless there has been a lot of communication and rapport, I leave the same generic feedback for every buyer.  My only change would be something about great communication or "thanks for the multiple purchases."

I'm noticing more buyers in forums making comments that they have 100% positive feedback, meaning they don't realize every buyer has 100% positive feedback.   Or, the haggler prospective buyer the other day that told me, "I can pay immediately."  All of my listings are IPR.

With only so many spaces available in the Feedback field, I do find myself leaving similar feedback on auction formats or BIN purchases I make.  I tend to focus on the transaction and any communication, and not so much on scrutinizing the product, unless it's been badly misrepresented.   I use this ID for buying and for posting, and another ID for selling, and on my seller ID I also tend to repeat similar feedback comments.   Feedback is voluntary, after all.

I'm a volume buyer on Ebay.  I leave the same FB for ALL sellers (with few exceptions).  Why?  Because it's easier.  I just do 1 keystroke, it brings up my saved FB, I hit enter.  Hassle to have to come up with and type brand new FB for each seller.  If a seller gets anything from me other than my saved FB, it means one of two things:  a) that they are truly exceptional or b) I am not happy
