My issue is with trying to sell a fairly niche item (track bike frame). I have listed 3 times and keep getting buyers who do not pay.
I feel really let down by Ebay who don't seem to be doing anything other than waiving my fee. I have lost 3 weeks when I really don't have 3 weeks to lose - I don't have space at my new apartment and have no where else to store.
I would like to complain to ebay but there is no way to contact them on this issue. I feel like closing my account which has been active for around 10 years or so as this site is no longer a good platform for selling single niche items. What can I do to get this sold?

FB cycling group in your area. Often times folks don't realize the high cost of shipping a dimensional item and when they see it in writing they change their mind.

Just do buy it now with the least amount you will take for it.

Buy-it-now, immediate payment required (as also suggested by another poster). It's been proven over and over that auction sales with no payment happen because buyers think this way will "hold" the item until 1) they come up with the cash, or 2) they decide they really don't want it.

I would suggest also not threatening to cancel bids from zero-feedback bidders, as you did in your latest auction, especially as it appears that you did not follow through on your threat, and you had zero-feedback bidders that may have been yanking your chain as a result.
Just list it as a BuyItNow with Immediate Payment Required for whatever amount you would genuinely accept for it if you only ever got one bid, and then when it's sold, it's sold, and ready to ship immediately.
(Incidentally, not to sound argumentative here, but are you really going to be that short of space in your new apartment? If it doesn't sell, I would just hang it in the closet for the time being. )

Ebay can not compel anyone to follow thru but does offer tools you can use to minimize this exact issue
This is a user to user board not eBay employees.

I hear you on the threat thing. I tried to cancel bids and it didn't work so thats my bad.
I have too many bikes and a kitchen / bathroom remodel so i really don't want it lying around at risk of getting damaged.
Thanks for the input. buyitnow seems most suitable.
