Buyers exploiting Global Shipping loop holes...

A word of warning on a couple of issues on the Global Shipping Program that I have encountered and as a result have decided to opt out of it going forward:

1.  Buyers are submitting chargebacks after the 30 days on Ebay's global shipping charges and these funds are coming out of the sellers Paypal accounts, not Ebays.  This has happened twice to me in the last 6 weeks and Paypal does not do much to dispute them.  Ebay keeps their money and hangs you out to dry.  When you contact Ebay on this, they default to, "...there is nothing we can do on chargebacks..."

2.  Sellers are responsible for original shipping, return shipping and any customs/import fees should a buyer  file a SNAD case on a global shipping purchase.  This gives buyers considerable leverage in requesting partial/full refuds as these costs can often be a couple hundred bucks to the sellers.  Again, Ebay will not step in to help the seller even if proof can be provided such as a shipping video etc.

Ironically, I did not have any issues with the Global Shipping Program in my first couple of years.  All of my losses have occured in the last two months (over $500) and I have to wonder if word is getting out....
