Buyer sending threatening messages, help!

I’ve got a buyer who honestly seems more than a little unhinged and frankly, she’s got me worried. I refunded her in full, and provided receipts, PayPal transcripts and e-mail confirmation but she’s getting angrier and verbally abusive and now she’s making threats about getting my account blocked and social media. This is part of her latest message:

”take care and be careful
What you said to the customer ok ! It’s an advise ! Specially to me ! I know lot of people at Lush headquarter  I can talk about your store on eBay  and what you sell ! Ok ! Even in social media you don’t know who I am so becareful I’m not your friend or you dog”

Part of it could be language barrier (she’s French), but I’m freaked. Anything I can/should do?

The OP ended her listings and currently she has nothing for sale.

Do we know for sure that she ended he auctions or whether e-Bay did.  When I looked up her completed and sold items I only saw 2 items sold on May 30 even though it said 32 results???

It also never ceases to amaze me that people come here to complain about another buyer or seller and wind up getting caught violating policy.

There were multiple units for sale.  The results shows 32 to reflect that even when there is only 1 (or in this case 2) listing.

"I don't personally care, but I also wouldn't purchase a decanted scent or cosmetic in a zillion years any more than I would buy some decanted Heinz 57 or or Preparation H or Delsym or Nature Made Vitamin E."

Every time you get steak sauce or ketchup on your table at a restaurant, it has been decanted. Soy sauce too.

Webwanna, sorry, but how exactly did I bounce the buyer’s refund? I don’t even know how to do that. That would mean I stopped the refund to them somehow. What happened is I canceled their auctions as requested, asked them if they got their refund and they said yes. I didn’t blame the buyer for the misunderstanding, but I took her at her word; she said she got their refund and I believed her.

You bounce a refund when you initiate a refund without having adequate funds in your Paypal account or backup funding source.

All the customer knows is that a refund is being processed.   It can take several days for the buyer to get a message that indicates there is a problem with the refund.  Paypal's message says something like:

"Your refund by (seller) didn't complete... For more information on this refund, please contact the sender."

Yes, I'm aware of that.   And the restaurant has a Health Inspection rating posted on the wall in plain sight.

I'm still not buying any of those foodstuffs decanted by some eBay seller who for all I know, is sitting in the middle of his or her cockroach infested hoard.

I am the OP. To answer your questions, I was the one who ended the auctions. Click on them and you will see.

At least 3 other people were kind enough to inform me that no, eBay did not change their policy, so I have not relisted and will be selling something else in the future.

If you have any any other questions for me, it’s probably faster to message me directly than go through my eBay history.

Buyer sending threatening messages, help!

I’m typing on a phone and can’t really quote individuals without a bunch of multiple posts and spamming up the thread, so I’ll try to put all my other replies here.

Inhawaii (wish I were too!) and Jason_i cognito, thank you for the advice. Since PayPal and eBay both assured me the buyer not only got the refund but it’s cleared, I’ve done what I can.

Myangelandmyprincess, you’re correct, I asked the buyer to confirm they wanted to cancel so I’d wouldn’t receive a defect strike.

Misfitfun and webwanna, I made a point of not removing the funds for 3-4 days after the cancellation in case I needed to refund. I didn’t transfer funds until buyer said yes, she got the refund. She told me later that she didn’t, but that was 3 days later. There is no way a refund would have bounced. Besides, I have a back up payment source. She even admitted that she made the mistake of saying she had a refund when she didn’t, but she blamed me.

Adding on that when she flipped out, it was the day after I got a notice saying the funds had cleared and were available. Cleared, not pending. I wrote one final message to her, asking her to show me a message from PayPal saying refund denied or funds unavailable and she only had a PayPal message saying the dispute was now closed.

Citysatins, I have no roaches, but do have a toddler still in diapers, which is probably just as germy.

In case people haven't been following this entire thread and mistakenly think I suggested you had a cockroach infested hoard - my comment concerned decanted foodstuffs like ketchup, etc that another poster mentioned to me is served in restaurants.
