Buyer not receiving combined 2 item invoice.

I have sent three times now an invoice to combine shipping on 2 items.  I did add a discount to this invoice as the buyer last minute bought a 3rd item but I had already printed the shipping label for one. Thus I discounted the shipping some on the 2 combined items.  I also clicked the box to receive a copy of the email.  I nor the buyer has yet to receive the combined shipping email. And he states he will not purchase until he receives the combined invoice.

 

has anyone else had this problem and what did you do about it?  Thanks lynne-jesso

If this all happened today I would try again tomorrow. Give the system time to get through it if it's a temporary issue.

 

I'd also ask the buyer to go to their shopping cart, click the checkout button (but don't pay) - and see if the checkout page shows them the discounted shipping. Sometimes discounts don't appear until you leave the cart and go to the checkout page. If the invoice worked but wasn't sent to your messages, buyer could see if that's the case before they send payment by going to that checkout page.

Make sure to be very business like when doing a few emails...I say a few and not a lot of emails. And that's it. If buyer doesn't pay just let it go and move on. Is it worth the headache for this? Could and I say could and maybe not but could be a problem down the road for this sale(s).

If it was someone buying from me International I send a refund for combined shipping after they paid.

Have to ask yourself do you need this sale or the drama that might come with it after delivery.

And do add tracking on ALL 3 items immediately if you do decide to mail the stuff with discount shipping.

I sometimes have a buyer buy like 25+ items separate but I make it a point to add tracking to all 25 items.

It is time consuming but worth it.

The buyer I believe has to pay or they get a demerit I believe. I don't know...would it be 3 demerits?

When I did auctions and buyer didn't pay in 5+ days I just state buyer didn't pay and move on.

In any case, easy on the emails to them.
