I recently sold 2 computers to the same person and he is a few towns over not very far. He wanted to do a local pickup to save on shipping cost I told him this was fine. He sent me a revised paypal request and paid for both computers. Since then he has messaged me twice asking for my phone number which I gave him already but I responded both times with my number and he has not responded to either message. So I sent him a 3rd message asking him if he has received my messages... no response. Before all that he initially said he wanted to meet last Saturday which we agreed to but then said Friday afternoon would be better which I said I could do then he stopped responding to messages. I have no text messages from him or calls and I don't have his phone number so I cannot call him.
The computers sold on May 4th and he has made no attempt to return any of my messages and he has already paid me for them. Do I need to contact ebay at this point or wait it out? I don't want to get in trouble for this what I am also afraid of is him saying after all of this he cannot meet and wants me to ship it for free.

there is nt much you can do at this point...........as far as sjhipping them for free if he comes over and gets them, drives 100 miles home and is unhappy with them you will have to pay return shipping as part of the MBG.That is why its best to get paid in cash on in person pickups

Hi, i am not familiar with how the buyer was able to send you a “revised paypal request.” Did he not pay thru eBay? It would be up to you to send him a revised invoice to remit from, minus the shipping charges. Have you gone to PayPal to independently verify the funds are in your account? Sorry for all the questions. They will help in what advice to give you.
And if he decides to have you ship, you will need to send him a new PP invoice to pay for the shipping prior to mailing the items. In the future, if someone wants a local pick up, it is important to update the listing to include that option. As you see, there are difficulties doing it this way. If he does pick them up, have an itemized notice he must sign to prove he picked up the computers. If not, you have no defense if he were dishonest and filed an item not received claim. Not saying he is dishonest, i am just concerned about your seller protection being compromised.

So I guess it's too late to tell you that local pickup items are not supposed to be paid for with Paypal, but with cash when the buyer arrives to pick up the item?
Have you considered simply cancelling with the reason being that you don't ship to this buyer's address?

yea I am finding this out now he asked if he could and I didn't see an issue with it and he sent me the revised invoice not sure how he did it I just got the notification in ebay that I had a revised invoice. Going forward I am not going to allow local pickup anymore and will put that in my listings. This is getting a bit crazy.

If you got paid through Paypal it is entirely on the buyer but as was pointed out you need to check and see if the funds are even in your account.
I also wanted to cover the event Local Pickup as pertains to the MBG.
This however does not cover software reaction, which may in fact differ from policy.
Below is what the MBG policy currently says about local pickup:
Covered
Purchases are covered by the eBay Money Back Guarantee when all of the following are true:
Not covered

None of the five computers sold by the OP on May 4 were Local Pickup Only, but even if they were, Local Pickup listings must still offer one means of electronic payment, typically either PayPal or a credit card (if the seller has his own merchant account with a credit card provider). Cash on pickup is preferable for several reasons, but not required.

Look up either of the two computers he bought from you on your Sold Items page, and in the Actions column for that item, open the little pulldown menu and select the "View order details" option. In the Purchase Details window that opens, you should find your buyer's phone number in the left-hand column.
