Yes, Florida has a hub of Freight Forwarding services.  It's one way around for items that aren't available for International shipping.  If you google the address it's likely in an industrial park.

It  is  conceivable the Australian buyer has family/friend in Florida that they are sending an item to.

One minor problem with international sales is that you will pay more to accept his payment.

PP and MP charge 30c + 2.9% for domestic sales and 30c+ 4.4% for international sales.

You will also be paying the processor's fee (4.4%) on both Florida sales tax and Australian VAT.

You can cancel an unwanted sale as Problem with Address.

It is legitimate and safe for the seller.  You will be sending your item to an address in the US.
