We shipped an item via first Class package 10 days ago. We are fairly diligent about updating buyers when a package goes out we give them an idea of arrival. On top of that, we also notify the buyer again the day that the package is going to arrive. We Notified this buyer that the package was going to arrive the day of arrival. & sure enough Delivery Confirmation showed it had arrived, a few hours later.
Three full days later the woman doesn't contact us-- she contacts eBay to file a " Did not receive package. We filed a "Where is my package" with USPS and so far have not received a response. Generally we do receive a call from USPS. In the meantime, it is a holiday weekend, and eBay has given us very little time to get this resolved. I talked to eBay through Chat, and they said "Seller Protections" Etc. but now I am not so sure. If you have been in this predicament or know what to do, please let me know. Thank you.

You're good.
The buyer would have to have a letter from the USPS saying the address they delivered it to was not your address to win.

If your buyer has opened an Item Not Received case and the item shows as delivered . Just upload tracking to the case and that is all you need to do. You are covered, the case will close in your favor.
It's really not necessary to give buyer a blow by blow of the shipping. They can see it in the purchase history by clicking on the tracking number. My guess is the buyer was annoyed by all the messages.I know I would be, but, I wouldn't stoop to filing a INR.

If delivered to an apartment with locked mailboxes chances are there are also security cameras. Google the address and see what comes up. If buyer becomes extra obnoxious ask if they have security cameras and you may never hear from them again...

Upload the tracking info to the dispute and in the explanation field spell out that the item was delivered, when and etc. That's all you have to do and let it sit.

I didn't give her blow by blow. The woman waited 3 days later and reported on the 30th. I filed a Where is my package with USPS immediately on the 30th of June. eBay is writing demanding that the woman be refunded by July 5th or that it is resolved. We have a Holiday on Monday, there is no way that the post is going to get back with me by July 5th. It's not enough time. Your answer is more snide than helpful. That is not too many messages. My Wholesellers that I buy from write me 3-4 times before delivery.
Forget it. I will figure this out myself. I always do.

Thank you I appreciate your courtesy. I will try that. I suspect she has the package. Lots of scams out there. I've been selling on here for years. I just want to make sure that the carrier is reported too. If we don't let the shipping companies know there is a problem then it continues on. Have a great day! Thanks again!

Thanks eBay is demanding I refund her. I just found out about it on the 30th of June. Filed a "Where is my Package with USPS immediately that same day" & now even with holidays going on, eBay wants her refunded on Tuesday, July 5th. We have Weekend and holiday in between. It's not fair for sure.
Thanks though

Why would you file a package search with USPS if the item shows it was delivered? Just post the tracking # to the case. Don't let the case time-out either, or you'll likely lose everything. Enter tracking NOW.

No, it's eBay doing this. I feel very betrayed. I've been on here for years. But they are saying I have to resolve this by July 5th. USPS is not responding. but I did receive notice I filed a Case with USPS on June 30, 2022.

Um, why report the carrier? He or she has done nothing wrong. In particular, the carrier is the one who did the Delivered scan that is going to win your case for you.
Upload the tracking number to the case where indicated, and wait for eBay to resolve it in your favor.

I did upload Tracking as soon as I heard from eBay. They are not backing me up. I also talked to them on Chat. The buyer asked me to contact USPS. I bend over backwards for my Buyers. This is the message I received below when I responded to ebay that they buyer had not received the item. If there is another area I should respond in, please let me know.
Thanks! We’ll let the buyer know that you updated tracking details for this item. You can also take another action in the meantime.

Just relax and wait. It should be resolved in your favor.

Thanks I hope so. Sorry that print was so large when I copied and pasted it from eBay. It's just been a stressful month. Have a great day.

We have trouble with carriers all of the time here in the Carolina's. I lived in Florida for years no problems. but they have fired Carriers for stealing here or just dumping mail. It happens. USPS wants to know if there are issues. United States Postal Carriers are not perfect. The world has changed. USPS will tell you they have had people that steal. Of course I'm going to let them know there is a problem. Three years ago we sent a Package out to family via Priority with Insurance, it did not arrive and USPS never resolved it. The Post Master got the carrier on the phone & he told me that he delivered it and that was that. Never heard another bloody word.
I hope they close all of the post offices and we go to something else USPS has stunk for years. That's my opinion and I'm sticking to it. Thanks have a great day.
P.S. I already uploaded tracking immediately.
