I’m looking for opinions. I sold an item recently that had no returns accepted. I shipped the package with signature confirmation, and two delivery attempts were made. After those two attempts the package was dropped off at a ups pickup spot for the buyer. I have contacted the buyer multiple times with no response about the package and in a few days if not picked up it will be sent back to me automatically. If that happens what do I do? Does eBay see it as I did my part and I’m good or what.

After it comes back, inspect it promptly and then refund your buyer. I would consider not refunding the shipping costs, however. When the refund is processed, eBay then credits you for the selling fees. It is up to you on whether or not to add the buyer to your block list.

You'll be good as far as shipping, but you still have to refund the buyer.

Was the buyer aware that the package was being sent with a sig required? The buyer may not have known this if it was not stated in the listing and has totally forgot about that delivery. Also, at times people may go away for a few weeks after they purchase something and do not pick it up for a bit. If it gets sent back to you then just refund the buyer minus the shipping cost and your good.

How come we don’t refund the shipping cost? Even if they paid for it?

Simple, buyer refuse to pick up goods. As seller, we are responsible to send package where buyer indicates, it is up to buyer to pick up goods. If buyer fails to provide proper address or recover goods, is not seller's fault. Ultimately, as a seller, we wasted our time with this type of buyer and received nothing in return.

Do not refund immediately. In the good old days eBay would stand behind sellers when buyer refused or failed to pick up the item. These days it is a mixed bag with eBay kissing buyers most of the time. Do nothing unless buyer opens some sort of request. Respond if they do with tracking and follow up with CS for whatever that is worth. Not much these days. If eBay tells you to refund, do so before they suck the money out of you. If you refund willingly eBay will contribute their fees. If not they won't. Most sellers do NOT have the option of issuing a partial refund. Do so at your peril. Ebay may suck out the full amount on top of the partial refund. It is what they do. Good luck.

If the package is returned to you, I'd refund the buyer the cost of the item less the shipping charge and fees incurred. I'd block the buyer (if you've still heard nothing) and would relist it.
Afterthought... did the buyer know that you'd be requiring a signature? That may be the problem...
