I recently sold an item and it was delivered on June 8th, which I verified by checking the tracking information.
8 hours later I get an email from ebay saying "The buyer did not recognize the transaction"
I checked his feedback, which is positive and it looks fine.
Also before he created the order from me, he asked me some usual questions about my item, nothing suspicious.
on June 8th I sent him message asked him about the dispute, he didn't reply my message yet.
Anyway i accepted challenge the dispute and provided them the DHL proof of delivery.
So do you think that the buyer trying to scam me by getting his money back and keeping the item? or what?
This is my first time that someone opened dispute for that reason.

I had similar case where customer opened "credit card chargeback" but I won by simply providing Tracking# (proof of delivery). Hopefully, things will workout good for you as well.

May or may not be a scam. If they claimed do not recognize transaction: (may or may not be true):
you are going to have to prove it was not: So make sure you put in the address as well as tracking showing delivered in the case..

If he's not scammer, why he don't reply my messages.
I sent him message 5 minutes after he filled a payment dispute?

Because they do not have to response to you:
for all they know you might be the person that caused the unauthorized use of payment system.....(not saying you are).
Also if it is a true unauthorized use: you may be trying to communicate with the perpetrator of such... edit to add that.
It may be your buyer is the person that did use some ones payment system with out authorization of the owner..........

It might be a case where a teenager got hold of Mom's/Dad's eBay account and went shopping.

I have had this before. The buyer might go to his banking institution to dispute the transaction and you might not win. Sounds like he is looking at his banking statement. Might be someone else in the family using the eBay account. However, you do have tracking which does help a little. Signature required from buyer will be a big win for you. I wouldn't email him anymore.

the thing that made me suspect him is filed a payment dispute 5 hours after delivery (Not 8 hours as i mentioned at the title)
Delivery time: June, 08 2022 13:16 (EDT)
filed a payment dispute on: June, 08 2022 18:14 (EDT)

You did what you need it to do. Which was to send item, and provide a tracking number. Just let it play out. Most likely will end up in your favor. I had a similar situation happen several months ago. It took almost 90 days, for the case to close, but at the end ebay decided in my favor.
Good luck on your selling journey.
