So here we go, wondering if anyone can help or point me towards right direction.
Buyer buys a used car engine (1100 pounds),its delivered 4 days later,15 days after delivery he messages me telling me he has removed the sump and there is some broken bits in there, he says the engine he had received was seized and wouldn't turn by hand, now I politely ask for some photos as all engines have numbers and I can match them,we drove the car before we removed engine so are certain the engine was a runner, anyway he sends me some pictures and its shocking, he has removed sump,top end,rocker cover gasket,fuel pump,all belts, manifold screws ,pipes and wires cut, he has simply stripped a complete engine and fit the parts on to his car, he even pretty much admits that in his messages ,he says well I can put all parts back now, anyways I call ebay I high light the photos explain item is extremely tampered with and he is attempting to send me a scrap engine, they all agree over the phone, first time I am told to wait fee days for case to mature and call back in few days, I call back in few days and told its obvious buyer has altered the item and its a fraudulent claim so we will close the case in your favour, I am like great thanks, however 5 days later I get an email telling me they have reviewed it and now I have 4 days to provide shipping label and facilitate return or they will fully refund buyer, so furious i call ebay straight away, now I am told yes the claim seems fraudulent item is clearly tampered with and he will escalate case once again pass this on to the offline team to review and they will make a final decision and get back to me in 5 days, sooo tbh I am suspicious, I asked him and said well what if refund is automatically done in 4 days and I haven't heard from you and not done anything while waiting? He says oh no we should get back to you withing 5 days,well see how i got 4 days to provide return label but takes 5 days for offline team to review? See where I am going with this? Seems like now i am being lied to aswell as being ignored, I am tired of this, many buyers abuse the return policy and we turn a blind eye but on 1000 pound engine which we know we have tested and couldn't be seized, furthermore he said he turned the engine by hand when he received it and it wouldn't turn ,why not just let us know and return it? Why wait 15 days strip my engine and then let me know? This is ridiculous and honestly feel so vulnerable selling on ebay, I am tired of loosing to scammers ,I am tired of ebay helping scammers, I am tired of ebay lying to me over the phone
