I got this message at 10:15 AM PST : "I have a number of cards in my cart but eBay wont let me pay. I need a code from you. I think?"

I replied in part: "If you were trying to buy other cards, like the one shown in this message ... I need to know, as this is an eBay error. As a seller, I can't see what's in a buyer's shopping cart. I can only see ended auctions a buyer has won and not paid for and paid for items. I can't send you a code or an invoice for Buy It Now items in your cart as I don't know about them..."

Got another note this evening at 19:47 PM EST: "Well, guess. what it went through this time without a problem....I don't recall what the original said but it wouldn't click through."

This should NOT have happened. I buyer should always be able to pay for items when the Checkout button is clicked!!!

They shouldn't but they do. Glitches happen on every website and every other selling platform. I understand it's frustrating but it's a fact of life. They are temporary and hopefully don't last that long. I'm glad the sale did eventually go through for you.

Yes, I've actually tried to push the we sell on ebay to shoppers in our shop, got the death look and the stories of why they would never return..

I have had issues, both as a buyer (when I used to buy on eBay) and a seller with the shopping cart and trying to checkout. There does not seem to be any consistency as to when or why it happens and eBay has never been able to fix the "glitch". Unlike consistent technical issues the random ones are difficult to fix.

Go over to the shipping board on here and read the threads, I would hesitate to call it a glitch, moreso a design flaw and it is the shopping cart that is creating much of the havoc and has since it was tossed into the system. I have had a buyer just this morning send me a message:

(ebay buyer)

Hello seller,I'm trying to purchase another and it's not letting me purchase,thanks

(Then he sends me this one which makes me scratch my head even more)

(ebay buyer)

Oh I see,it s been delivered but its not showing that it is yet on ebay.As soon as it does I ll buy another one good product and packaging,thank you!

Now I have three major concerns here

#1 why was he NOT able to purchase another one? (plenty of stock available)

#2 He already got the 1st one he ordered yet ebay does not show it as delivered!!!

#3 Why would the buyer have to wait until the 1st item actually shows it being delivered BEFORE he can purchase another one?

Things used to be somewhat stable around here with only a few annoyances now and then to work around, but now it is getting to the point where one is almost afraid to open up messages as the problems are snowballing fast.

I received this message last night at 10:25:

"I am trying to buy your product, but PayPal is not working. Can you help?"

Lost sale. But I'm sure I will be charged a promoted listings fee: "WOULD HAVE SOLD VIA PROMOTED LISTINGS BUT GLITCHED OUT".

I know that the USPS tracking is not in sync with eBay. It can a little longer to get up-to-date tracking on eBay. Using the USPS website will give the best recent status.
