Buyer bought 7 items returned 2. How can I refund only the 2 items? He accepted my offer to refund the 2 items he had moderate issues with. I received the package with only two items, but eBay will only allow me to refund the entire order difference of over $200. The only option I had was to open a dispute to say the return was for a different item. How can I implement are mutually agreed solution?

No, I only had the option to return the amount for the entire order, or contest it. eBay stepped in and was able to concur that the refund should only be for the return of the 2 items, which we both agreed on, and handled the return. I'm not sure the reason why the interface was lacking this option in this case.

Did they open up a return? If so, you might need to contact eBay for help with this if you haven't been selling on eBay very long. If they didn't open a return you can give a partial refund. That would have been the best route for you

Did you not get a page like this one? It allows you refund any amount up to the total price.

I suggested a refund of the items he wasn't satisfied with, and said I would issue the refund upon receipt of the return. Tested both items upon receipt found they were both working very well, so I'm glad I did request them back. I will be able to resell these in the future. I found, sometimes novice users lack the expertise to run the parts or trouble shoot them correctly.
