Blocking Buyers with 0 Feedback or New Accounts

I have had several auctions where someone creates a fake account to bid up my item to reveal another bidders max bid.  Then they cancel their bid.  What is Ebay doing to prevent this from happening.  Nothing happens to the fake buyer whatsoever.  This is unfair to everyone involved.

Yes and no. While I largely agree with the sentiment behind your comment there are ways to test a number of hypotheses around this. Not going to give eBay any free consulting this time around however. They can figure out the use cases and tests on their own. All I'll say is they are largely losing buyers because they have the seller and buyer job stories or jobs to be done all wrong and don't get me started on pain points, journey maps and the platform as an overall experience.

eBay is pretty bad at comparative analysis outside of Amazon and lives in a protective bubble of only seeing the user experience through the tunnel vision that is their platform. Of course they do see the other side of comparative analysis (What's Amazon doing now?) but only when it benefits the bottom line.

The truth has few friends but many enemies.
