Blocked from selling Adidas trainers for now reason? What can I do?

Hello people.  I have a problem here.  I am trying to sell off around 100 pairs of Adidas trainers, individually, that I have brought over the last 5 or 6 years.  Most of them are in new condition just worn a couple of times, around a quarter of them are never worn at all still in box with tags.  Most of them are probably worth 40 to 50 GBP but some of them are quite rare, around 150-250 GBP.

Im more of a buyer than a seller, but have a good feeback rating, always pay immediatley and have no negative feedback from around 150 purchases and 3 or 4 sales.

I tried to upload some of my Adidas and I am banned from doing so, for litteraly no reason at all.  I am only allowed to advertise them as unbranded - as soon as I try and list them as Adidas, it blocks me and says I am not permited.  Listing them as unbranded is useless as they do not hit the search terms that people are looking for when looking for Adidas trainers.

Again, no negative feedback, never had an issue in the slightest, the account is 6 years old.  Never sold a pair of trainers before, and my activity is mostly buying.

I contacted customer service and they said something about needing to have 25+ more positive feedbacks in the next 6 months or something.  If I try and sell anything else, its fine no issue at all.  Only Adidas trainers!

The only thing I can think of is that I live in Thailand.  Im British, but spend most of the time here in Thailand.  There are a lot of copy trainers here but the trainers I am trying to sell are not the type that are copied.  They are more traditional gum sole adidas, nothing like Yeezies etc.  Maybe they think there is a chance I will be selling copies?

The irony is, probably half of the trainers I actualy brought on ebay!

I tried changing my address to my sisters place in England, with the idea being I could send them all to her and she ships out.  But even after doing that I am still not permited.

Is there a work around to this?  I think its realy unfair that they are blocking me in this way - never had an issues with ebay and have a good feedback score so why are they doing it, and is there anything I can do to overturn?

Many thanks in advance for any suggestions you guys might have!

Cheers, Matty.

Adidas is a hyper-sensitive brand. Their are tons of fakes out there.

Buyers can't get negative feedback so all that is meaningless. If you have only ever made 3 or 4 sales you will face some restrictions until your reach some fairly reasonable requirements such as having 25 sales,  90 days since your first sale (sales from years ago don't count). Restrictions of this type are placed on all new sellers.

Find some other things to sell in the short term (plenty of stuff in Thailand), once you have accumulated some history you'll be able to list the shoes.

They're doing this to combat fraud on the platform, namely counterfeiters. Your account may be established as a buyer, but if you're relatively new to selling, they will put limitations and restrictions until you can prove you're able to meet the needs of their buyers.

Likewise, the clothing categories are rife with fraud! Ebay is being a lot more cautious about those they allow to sell in certain categories like shoes, especially those who don't have a track record to back them up.

My advice, do what the CS mentioned and get the 25 feedback you need. Put up some alternate products for now, items that are cheap and a good bargain. Then give the system some time to update your seller performance ratings, and you should be able to start listing your shoes.

One issue that could arise is category limits, even if they do allow you to post in the category you want. You probably wont be able to list 100 pairs of shoes initially.

While this may seem unfair, we all went through it, everyone has to earn their stripes here.

My spidy sense is tingling here but

Did you try listing them as used?
