It's my 2nd one in just a few weeks.
Buyer received package in 2 days, from Florida to Maine.
Buyer sends a message and photos, very mad, very dramatic:
"You sent wrong item. Not happy. Not using eBay ever again. You were to send Matt black and sent silver. I want my money back. This was to be installed this week. Thanks for not helping."
I respond, apologetically, and direct them to open an eBay Return Request to get 100% refund, including shipping. I offer to try to replace the item. Tell him I'll try to make it up to him.
Buyer response:
"You obviously don’t ant my phone info. I will work with eBay for a full refund. Should have sent the correct item the first time time the first time. Not going to scam me mfers
Just refund my money and I am done with y scam artists"
No response... yet. They'll probably insist I should refund in full and NOT expect them to return it.
ALSO, the item I supposedly sent him that he sent photos of isn't missing from our inventory. I only should have 1 in stock, and we do. The black one he ordered is gone. We number all of our inventory. He probably has it.
TO PREVENT A SCAMMER: Make sure you ALWAYS have a buyer open a Return request in the eBay system. Don't work with them outside of it, via messages, for refunds and returns. NEVER!
It can only help you, never hurt. eBay does not give negative performance ratings for sellers who accept returns in the Returns system and respond within the timeframes.
eBay will also remove negative feedback left by a buyer who opened a return request but refused to return the item, demanding a refund (partial or full).
The eBay return system and process protects sellers, in this type of case.

If it was a wrong item I will send correct item and tell buyer to keep item sent.
It's me...the seller who made the mistake.
buyer sent "photos"....which buyers do not need to do and most don't.
We as sellers are great shippers for shipping items out. Buyers are usually not great shippers and do not have the time to do it and do not want to have to deal with shipping.
eBay prefers seller work it out with the buyer.
But you have 6 negative feedbacks...I assume you could have more but eBay kept it down to only 6.
