Best way to save and re-list previously sold items

I have a few hundred listings (and growing) and the biggest inefficiency I have is listing each item individually each time I have one of that particular item available. I would like to save most of my listings so that I can go back to a previously listed item (that's sold), pull up the old listing and re-list. For instance; I list an item (quantity of one), after a month or so, it sells, the listing goes away, a month or so later I have another of that same item available. I'd like to go back, pull up that old listing and simply re-list rather than create a new listing from scratch. What's the best way to do that?

You have a eBay store so you should be able to use the inventory section. When you end a listing or sell a item there should be the option to save it to inventory. This is kind of like saving a listing as a draft but it will not auto delete after 30 days. When you want to relist the item all you have to do is go to inventory and select the items you want to relist from the template and it goes live.

Your sold items will remain in the sold listing for  90 days after than they  are good  poof.

You could    on around the  89th day open the sold listing and do a sell similar but  don't list it just  save it as a draft that   will buy you some more time.

I sell one of a kinds - mostly  used items - can't recall finding the exact  same item to sell - sold/shipped 1559 items - did find items that were similar to what I had sold.

Thanks for the replies. I'm disappointed that there's not an easier way to do this after 90, 120 days or even 6 months. Does Selling manager pro make this any easier?

Some sellers use word and excel documents to save the listing info like tittle, description, price, and shipping info. Then if need be they have a easy template to rebuild listings if the listing gets deleted or if they have similar items in the future.

Ebay only stores information on sold items for 90 days. This is also the same for their terapek service and the advanced search feature. While on the buyers end their purchase history will show some of the basic information like tittle and the main picture for the listing and price, for sellers the records are really slim after 90 days. Paypal is a good source for some of the basic information about the sell as far as price paid by the buyer, but as for the items description if you are going to be listing the same or similar item after the item in you active inventory sells you will have to keep a hard copy either in the inventory section or on your end as a word doc.

I just copy and paste everything-no matter what site I"m on.

All listings have a file folder with a picture and the details written up in Microsoft Word.   Then they all fit in an Alphabetical File.

Do you know how long it will be saved in inventory before it will get deleted or is the information there until the seller deletes it?

I have a text file of all my listings (going back about 19 years) with the HTML code included.
There are some books I buy often if I see them.

But most of those books I will never see again.

Since eBayCanada did the Great Currency Shift a few years back, I have started saving pictures as well, but with used items what I have in my hand is unlikely to be exactly like what I am listing, even if it's for the tenth time.

More important and much more heavily used are my bits of HTML coding that I use to "brand" my listings and my Terms of Sale for my various IDs also with coding.

Don't depend on eBay or anyone else to save your listings.

Do your write up in Word or similar.

Save all you pictures to your picture program.

Back up your system on a regular bases.

That way, they are always there to list.

Mine go back to 2005 and occasionally get pulled up to reuse.

EBay has been known to lose pictures and other parts of listings as well as relisting sold items.

You are responsible for it all!

Theoretically items in inventory will not be deleted. I have had some items over a year. However if eBay changes listings like dropping the 30 day for GTC you may need to change somethings before sending the listing live again. As for images a hard copy is always a good plan.  From time to time eBay does lose data so a back up can save you time and extra work if issues happen.

I create my descriptions and save them as a Notepad file.
The filename is the Manufacturer Part Number.
Listing Title
eBay Category
Store Category
UPC Code
Weight Total
Weight Each
Weight Box and Size
MSRP Price
Country of Manufacture
Description in HTML Code
Listing Number (12 Digit)
Listing Date
Listing Quantity
Listing Sell Price
Some items come in different packages depending upon the date of manufacture.
Most are factory sealed, a few are open package or else no package.
I use this Notepad file several times to eventually sell out an item.
I have reused the file when more of the same item arrived years later.
I just have to use the correct version of my own stock photos and revise the condition.
