As usual, the buyer will be based on the East Coast, duh.
I know, I know. I could listed as "Local Pick UP". But would like to know the best and safest method if I need to ship it.
1- Listed as "Local Pick UP", let the buyer make their own arrangenmet for pick up
2-Select the shipping method and add to listing? If so, what is best Freight Fwd, I'm not too sure about moving companies. Don't trust em
Any other suggestion would be appreciated.
Also, if I select "Local Pick UP". How do you set up payment. Paypal or Cash.

If this is a one time thing, I personally would not ship it to the buyer since they didn't adhere to your Local Pickup only. That's within ebay rules right?? Someone chime in. I think the difference in legwork and risk are huge compared to local pickup for this item.
I would think you can cancel it as a problem with buyer's address... with the problem being that it isn't local pickup.

There are not a lot of options for reasonable furniture shipping. We use Plycon Vanlines. They are not particularly fast. but they do a good job. If you have buyer arrange shipping, you could be open to all kinds of issues and I would not recommend that. It's a giant can of worms.

Oh wait, I misunderstood and thought you did list it as local pickup only. Sorry, disregard my previous reply.

I’ve used Plycon several times, they move single pieces of furniture. Giving a delivery promise in advance can’t be done because they collect/combine shipments until a truck going the rough area is full. Not bad, though, usually 10 days or less.
Believe it or not, Greyhound Bus carries fairly large freight. I’ve never sent anything but received a great mid century patio piece from a seller that way.
