Hello! Quick question. If you have a best offer pending can someone come in and still purchase the item or place another best offer ? Any help is appreciated!

Yes. Until an offer is accepted the item is up for grabs.

and potential buyers can see if offers are pending, possibly infuencing their decision to buy sooner for full price. It's happend many times to me, if i don't like the offer that much i'll let it stew. If you accept it close to 48 hrs later, usually there is greater chance of non payment. A trade off.

Best Offer is the same as shooting yourself in the foot.

Yes, they can. Last Friday during the 20% off any item on ebay, I had 4 offers and a buyer bought my item for the BIN price. If a buyer wants your item badly enough, they will not haggle and just purchase the item.

yes, and best offer is a great way to screen a members feedback left for others when you get an offer, giving you the chance to block them before hand, you may not want to risk selling to someone that habitually leaves negatives on every purchase, I find this extremely helpful, however, you would also have to end the listing and relist to make this action effective, as you cannot block a current listing from a buyer who has given a best offer.
